Live and you learn. I looked at this product at a local brew shop, but with Amazon, being $20 cheaper, it seemed like a no brainer.This was a father's day gift for my husband which makes it soooo much worse. Opened the box to find it was assembled over 2 years ago, and I immediately had a terrible sinking feeling as ingredients for beer definitely have a shelf life! Yeast goes bad, grains go bad, flavoring loses its freshness! The box also was taped up in a not factory kind of way, making me question if this was not reboxed as well. You can also clearly see one of the cans expored in MARCH 2022! Shame on this seller and Amazon for not discarding the product!

The kit looks great, well packaged and I was looking forward to brewing this. However, upon further inspection, the yeast expired two years ago and the cans of liquid extract expired as well. That means this kit must have been sitting in a warehouse for about 3 years! I'm going to have to return this as I don't want to brew something that won't give good beer.

I really hope everyone else's kits are fresh, as it looks great.
